As young adults, we grow up and move away from our family homes. As the years pass we seem to be even further away, physically and emotionally. We realise that the distance back is much shorter, as the crow flies.
Medium/Technique: This quilt is made using the Linear Landscape technique developed by Australian textile artist, Gloria Loughman. Sky and water are fabric painted, mountains and tree trunks appliqued, painted and thread-painted. Gum leaves are sponged with five different greens and yellows. Crow is screen printed.
