Tangled Threads
Our Group
The artists of Tangled Threads are knitted together by their love of all things textiles as well as their passion for creative expression, experimentation and the development of their skills and knowledge in using this medium.
Each member brings to the group her own unique and extensive treasure trove of experiences. At Tangled Threads, these individuals meld into a dynamic collective producing works of art that use textiles in all their varied forms. The intrinsic qualities of fibres, yarns and fabrics provide great scope for the exploration and expression of ideas or themes. The artists employ techniques that can be traced back into antiquity: those that they and others have developed as a result of modern science and technology and everything in between. The result is always creative, always thought provoking, always a visual and tactile feast for the senses and, always memorable.
